Privacy Policy

In one sentence

OverDrive does not collect any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of ours that could receive your data.

Where your data lives

Charts, sections and settings you create are stored entirely in the app’s sandbox on your own device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Local network features

“Host / Join” lets several devices on the same Wi-Fi share one chart and stay in sync during rehearsal. During this:

• Data travels directly between your devices; no server is involved
• Only chart content and rehearsal state are transmitted (current section, bar, tempo, playing or not)
• The name shown in a room (e.g. iPhone a3f2) is randomly generated by the app. It is not your device name and contains nothing that identifies you

Permissions

• Local Network: find rehearsal rooms on the same Wi-Fi. If you decline, multi-device sync is unavailable and solo rehearsal is unaffected.
• Camera: scan a room QR code. Decline and join with the code instead. No image is stored or uploaded.
• Microphone: rehearsal recording (from the mixer or interface you plug in). Recordings stay on the device.
• Photos: pick a lesson video to practise with. The video is copied into the app, never uploaded, and your original is not modified.

What we do not do

• No collection, storage or transmission of personal information
• No analytics, telemetry or advertising SDKs of any kind
• No tracking of your usage
• No sharing with third parties — we have nothing of yours to share

This website

This site sets no cookies and loads no analytics or advertising services. The server keeps ordinary access logs (IP, time, request path) for troubleshooting and abuse prevention, shared with nobody.

If you claim a code on the redemption page, the server records that the code was handed out along with a one-way hash derived from your IP address, used only to stop the same person claiming twice. It cannot be turned back into an IP address and is not linked to anything else.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are handled by the App Store. We never see or store payment details — purchase, renewal and refunds all happen inside your Apple Account.

PDF export

Exporting a chart as PDF is initiated by you. The file is handed to iOS’s share sheet and goes wherever you send it. We never see it.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13, and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
